Her profession as a ballet dancer awakened a deep and ongoing passion to understand the body and its consciousness as part of a process of healing, self-transformation, and evolution. Karla’s journey, personal and professional, has been rich and multi-layered and she brings all this life experience to her work. Her inner search and longing to understand the Self led her to study many ways of working with the body and energy field. After a 2 ½ year training she became a practitioner for Ortho-Bionomy, a gentle form of bodywork based on osteopathy. A four year study in energy healing as well as educations in body psychotherapy (Core Energetics), depth psychology at the Center for Intentional Living and a somatic movement practice called Continuum Movement were a profoundly enriching part of Karla’s journey.
In 2016 Karla returned to her artist, dancer self and started a Masters Degree program at the European Graduate School in Saas Fee, Switzerland. She received her Masters Degree in Expressive Arts Coaching with cum laude in 2022. Along side this, her passion to more deeply understand the body, heart, mind and Soul by working with the arts led her to complete Anna and Daria Halprin’s Tamalpa Life/Art Process. She is now an authorized teacher of this work.
Karla loves to use all her life experience and educations in a way that supports her clients to reach their goals, whether they be on the physical, emotional, mental or spiritual levels of being.
